Active Isolated Stretching (AIS)
Active Isolated Stretching
is our core competency, our focus and primary treatment technique. A.I.S. involves muscle rehabilitation and injury prevention using a scientific approach to stretching, as developed by Aaron Mattes, in the USA, over 40 years. We use A.I.S. to increase your flexibility and re-align your posture, relieve your pain and discomfort and give more mobility to your joints. A.I.S. also boosts sports performance and reduce long term wear and tear due to poor postural symmetry. It’s the safest and most effective way to increase your flexibility and prevent injuries. Best for those who have no time to follow a regular yoga practice.
Our Postural Correction Exercise program is intended to develop specific muscle support and help acquire local joint stamina. Allied with Active Isolated Stretching, it’s an excellent strengthening program for seniors, beginning exercisers and athletes of all levels and ages. It is recommended after specific injuries, or in the presence of muscles diseases, arthritic conditions, cerebral vascular accidents, diabetes, scoliosis, kyphosis, osteoporosis, post fracture, post surgery, including joint replacements and various pains such as rheumatoid arthritis lupus, fibromyalgia and carpal tunnel syndrome.
A Mobility Training session combines Active Assisted Stretching with strength and stability exercise, so that you build strength, optimise your mobility and increase your flexibility all in one session.
A massive gain of time with maximum results.
is not an exercise program. It’s a time-proven method of teaching ways to move more freely, in a more relaxed and comfortable way, to improve ease of movement, balance, support and coordination. It teaches the use of just the right amount of effort for an activity. leaving you with more energy for all your activities. It helps you maintain optimal posture to relieve and prevent pain and discomfort from poor posture and stress. When A.I.S. helps you gain optimal posture, Alexander Technique helps you learn to maintain it, by changing your habits. Let Peter teach you how to use your body more effectively. Learn more
